The Annex
Your highest level at every difficulty of a family of logic puzzles, on one board of ladders read from each game's save.
What it is
read down the ladders
The shelf for the Pointers family of logic puzzles, which all grade Easy, Medium, Hard, Extra Hard and Ultra Hard and number their levels. Each game gets one row of five rungs, stacked in a single column so you can read down a difficulty as easily as across a game. Every number is read from that game's own save when the page opens; the games keep their own addresses, records and saves. Once you have cleared a board in a game, its row also offers TODAY: that game's board of the day.
How to play
Controls, then the numbers that matter
A rung's number is the highest level solved on that difficulty: the game's next level minus one. The tally at the foot of the page adds up every board cleared across the family.
A dot in the corner of a rung means a board is under way there: something done to it, whether a move, a mark, a hint or a lost life. Opening a board and backing straight out leaves no dot, and the game's own PLAY reads 'continue' exactly when the dot is lit.
CARRY ON appears at the top when the last game you opened from the shelf has a board under way, and opens that game straight onto it — on the difficulty the game was last set to, if a board is going there.
The number keys open the games in shelf order, and R or the die at the foot of the page opens one at random.
Nothing on the shelf is its own number: a board solved at the game's own address lights the same rung, and the only thing this page saves is which game you opened last.
TODAY opens a game's board of the day: one Medium board, the same for everyone, new at midnight Taipei time (UTC+8). A drawn tick means today's is done, and the foot of the page counts how many of today's are done and on how many days you have cleared one, read from the games' own saves.
