UPDATEDPuzzleon The Annex
Gridlock
Cars slide only along their lanes. The lot was searched before you saw it, so par is the fewest moves out.
What it is
free the red car
A parking lot six rows deep and six to nine columns wide. Every car slides only along its own lane and cannot pass anything; clear the red car's row and drive it out through the gate. Each lot is searched before you see it, so par is the fewest moves that exist, and matching it earns PERFECT. There are no lives, and undo and restart are free.
No tile of its own: it lives on The Annex, with its family, and keeps its own address, records and saves.
How to play
Controls, then the numbers that matter
Moving the same car twice in a row counts as one move, so adjusting a slide costs nothing.
Tap a car that can only go one way and it moves one square. On a keyboard, Tab picks a car and the arrows push it — the red car if nothing is picked.
The red car's row lights green the moment nothing stands between it and the gate.
Lots widen from 6 columns on Easy to 7, 8 and 9, with 0, 2, 3 and 4 bollards, and par is sought in windows of 5–9, 10–14, 15–20 and 19–30 moves. Ultra Hard keeps Extra Hard's nine columns and four bollards, leaves one square less to shuffle in, and seeks 22 to 40 moves; a lot under 21 is thrown back for another, up to five tries, and if none makes it the deepest is kept.
A hint shows one move that is on a shortest way out — 3 on Easy and Medium, 2 on Hard, 1 on Extra Hard, none on Ultra Hard. Hints do not cost PERFECT; only the move count does.
An Ultra Hard lot is searched before you see it, which takes a few seconds; the menu starts that search the moment Ultra Hard is picked, and the next level is built while you play.
Once you have cleared a lot, the menu offers today's lot: one Medium lot, the same for everyone that day, new at midnight Taipei time (UTC+8). It keeps its own record (the days you have cleared it and your fastest) and never touches your levels. Clear it and COPY RESULT copies one plain line: the date, your moves against par and hints, and your time.
From your second clear on a difficulty, the result also names your fastest there, or how far off it this one was; the clock only runs while the lot is in front of you.
