UPDATEDPuzzleon The Annex

Pointers

Every arrow slides out the way it points, but only once nothing stands in its path; tap one too early and you lose a life.

What it is

tap in the right order

A board packed with arrows, each a bent path ending in a head. Tap one and it slides out the way its head points, but only if nothing stands between it and the edge; tap one that is blocked and it bumps into the arrow in its way and costs a life. Clear every arrow with three lives. Five difficulties run from twelve by seven to fifty-six by thirty-two, and every level is the same board for everyone who plays it.

No tile of its own: it lives on The Annex, with its family, and keeps its own address, records and saves.

How to play

Controls, then the numbers that matter

TAP / CLICKDRAG to panPINCH / WHEEL to zoom+ / -0 / FHESC
  1. A blocked arrow does not move and costs one of your 3 lives, and the arrow in its way flashes. Run out and you are told how many you cleared; the retry is the same board.

  2. Boards grow from 12×7 on Easy to 18×10, 26×15, 44×25 on Extra Hard and 56×32 on Ultra Hard, with 3, 3, 2, 1 and 0 hints.

  3. A hint lights an arrow that is free to go — the one with the longest open run to the edge, which is the one your eye is least likely to have checked.

  4. Drag to pan and pinch or scroll to zoom. A press only counts as a tap if it moves less than 8 pixels and lifts within 0.6 seconds, so panning never fires an arrow.

  5. Each difficulty keeps one board in progress once you have touched it. Leave mid-level and PLAY reads 'Level N · continue', with your lives, hints and clock where you left them.

  6. Once you have cleared a board, the menu offers today's board: one Medium board, the same for everyone that day, new at midnight Taipei time (UTC+8). It keeps its own record (the days you have cleared it and your fastest first try) and never touches your levels. If you run out of lives on it, it is the same board next time, and the clear says how many tries it took. Clear it and COPY RESULT copies one plain line: the date, your tries if there was more than one, your lives left and hints, and your time.

  7. Clear a board without a bump or a hint and the result carries NO BUMPS, NO HINTS. From your second clear on a difficulty, the result also names your fastest there, or how far off it this one was; the clock only runs while the board is in front of you.
