Cookie Croft

Click the cookie until the farm pays for itself: 12 timed crops, 37 recipes, a forecast to plant by, a mine that goes sideways, an auction you call yourself, prestige.

What it is

click, farm, fish, prestige

A cookie clicker that quietly turns into a whole croft: timed crops, animals, production chains, an orchard, a fishing pond, a 60-deep mine and a kitchen you cook in by hand. Deliver goods to truck orders, bulk contracts and the Croft Express for the XP that unlocks the next tier. From level 4 a two-sky forecast says what the next weather will do for your hands — sun dries the stand, rain hurries the pond, meteors shake fossils loose — and once three dishes stand at 80 in Granny's little book she sets a menu the workshop, the truck and Rival Granny all cook from. Past level 20 the game stops selling for you: a root cellar that ages shrimp and honey into something three times dearer if you are back before it turns, a saleroom where you take each bid off a lifted paddle and slam the gavel on the lobster and fossils no truck will carry, drifts cut sideways from bedrock toward the seam you need this week, a Mayor who takes the renown you banked past level 30 and gives you a day of open roads, and a show bench at every festival where five lobsters or a fossil take Best in Show. Content runs to level 30, then you burn it down for Golden Sugar and go again — under a dare, if you pick one.

How to play

Controls, then the numbers that matter

CLICKSPACE1-8HPDRAG
  1. Watch the barn. It starts at only 40 slots, and when it fills, harvests sit in the field and production stops dead. Bolts and planks drop from harvests, orders and chores — each upgrade adds 25, and from level 9 the Workbench (3,000 coins and 4 of each to build) turns a few more of them plus a Hustle charge into a tool that wears out as it works.

  2. Every 40 clicks banks a Hustle charge, max 3. Click any running timer with one in hand — a growing crop, a maturing tree, a construction site — to skip 20 percent of it, minimum one minute.

  3. Chores are a streak with a clock. Start the next one within six minutes of a win and every third win in a row is a Farmhand Bonus: clicks and helpers ×3 for 45 seconds, ×3.5 at six in a row, ×4 from nine. Failing or abandoning a chore, or letting a red emergency lapse on the board, sends the streak back to zero.

  4. Read the forecast in Quick stats before you list. Anything put on the Roadside Stand under a sunny sky sells for 67 percent over price instead of 45, in 1.5 to 4 minutes instead of 3 to 8, and the sky at listing is the one that counts. A treat for Butterscotch (3 tickets and 2 apples, two hours) adds two stalls and lists 15 at a time instead of 10.

  5. Three dishes cooked at 80 or better open Granny's Table. A Signature Dish seats one, and from then on that dish runs 20 percent faster at the workshop with every 4th one free, sells for 10 percent more and earns truck orders that always tip a ticket. At every festival the Show Bench's first entry in a class costs one rosette and the goods, takes Best in Show and pays a point of renown — the Coral Cup's Shellfish Tank wants five lobsters.

    What changed

    1. polish

Cookie Croft: it says what it does, and the sky is on the page

      • Cookie Croft says what it does: 46 places where a tooltip, a message or the manual said one thing and the game did another now agree, from the Express’s crate count and pay to the auction’s gather times, the drift’s lamp numbers, the renown and rosette sources, and what prestige keeps.
      • A reload mid-cook counts as a step away now, a timer you boost is fixed when you plant, Pond Works take a Hustle charge and say when they finish, and giving something up asks first and names the cost.
      • The sky is on the page: each weather tints the page and the weather chip, fading over a second and a half when it turns; plots read as earth, crops grow by size, and the big cookie shows banked Hustle as bites.
      • New sounds where moments had none or borrowed the wrong one: a fanfare on a rebirth, a gavel at the auction, a crack for rock, a strum for Harvest all, a short cue for each sky and a bell for the Weather Glass. Nothing loops, and a hidden tab stays silent.
    2. fixed

Cookie Croft: no error when the sound cannot start

      • On a computer whose sound output cannot start (none plugged in, or another program holding it), Cookie Croft now plays on in silence; before, every sound it tried to play counted as an error behind the scenes.
    3. new

Cookie Croft: fair weather, hot hands and a table at Granny’s

      • Cookie Croft can now read the sky: the weather chip shows what comes next, a Weather Glass gives you a minute’s warning, every sky does something for your hands, a sunny spell dries the Roadside Stand so listings sell faster for more, and the kite swaps a forecast slot instead of picking tomorrow blind.
      • Hot Hands: the Farmhand Bonus is a streak now, with a six-minute clock between chores; a failed or expired chore breaks it, hard chores and the weather bend the odds, and a late upgrade adds another chore slot.
      • The Treat Jar: each pet has a treat that buys a two-hour job: the dog fetches what your orders are short of, the cat patrols the sheds behind the Crow Trap, the duck casts your idle lines while you watch the pond, and the pony hauls a cart that widens the stand.
      • The Fishmonger’s Slab: a Fish Platter from any three common catches and, at level 28, a Seafood Tower from any two rare ones. You pick which fish go in.
      • Granny’s Table: a set menu from the recipes in her Little Book that the Factory, the delivery truck and Rival Granny all cook from, and a daily number of hers to beat.
      • The Show Bench: every festival opens three show classes that take your rarest goods for score, and the first entry in each takes Best in Show.
    4. new

Version 2: the whole arcade, rebuilt

      • Cookie Croft: past bedrock the Mine goes sideways into seams you work rock by rock, the Workbench makes tools that wear out as they work, the Root Cellar ages goods into cider and mead, and the Auction Barn sells whales and fossils under your own gavel.
      • Cookie Croft also gives Renown something to buy in the Mayor’s decrees, grows the Dare Book to ten dares and the Deed Wall to 30 prestiges, and lets you share a finished Wonder with the county for a Keepsake that stays through every prestige.
