FOUR RITUALSToy
Burning Note
Type what is eating you onto lined paper, strike a match, and click the exact spot to set it alight.
What it is
write it, then destroy it
A dark room, one candle, one sheet of lined paper. Type whatever is weighing on you, pick a mood, and the page is destroyed in front of you — burned cell by cell, crushed into a ball and thrown, soaked until the ink runs, or torn into four pieces. Nothing is scored and nothing you write is kept: all the game saves is a count of how many notes you have let go, plus your sound and speed settings.
How to play
Controls, then the numbers that matter
Just keep typing: a word that reaches the edge drops to the next ruled line whole, and a paste flows across as many lines as it needs. The sheet holds 12 lines, about 65 characters each on a wide screen and about 45 on a phone, where the sheet is narrower (fewer on a small phone held sideways). When the last line is full the paper twitches and takes no more, and a paste that runs past it keeps only the words that fit whole. It is a note, not a diary.
Enter breaks the line at the caret, but never leaves a blank line: at the very start of a line, or at the end of one with another line below it, it does nothing. Backspace at the start of a line joins it onto the line above, unless the page is full and the joined line would need a 13th; then the paper twitches and nothing moves. The arrow keys and Delete cross lines the way they would anywhere else.
The mood picks the ritual and the ink colour: Plain burns, Rage crumples the page into a ball and throws it, Sadness pours water until the ink runs, Regret tears it into four. Fire keeps the mood's pace: 1× Plain, 1.5× Rage, 0.7× Sadness, 0.9× Regret. The 2× toggle doubles every ritual.
Click or tap the loose match by the matchbox, then the paper — the fire starts at that exact point and spreads outward on a 4-pixel grid, biased upward, in any mood. ESC or a click off the paper drops it.
A blank page refuses to be destroyed: the paper twitches, the caret comes back, and the counter does not move.

What changed
Version 2: the whole arcade, rebuilt
- Burning Note’s sheet holds 12 ruled lines, words wrap whole to the next line, and the handwriting is bigger on phones; turning a phone sideways and back no longer shrinks your note.
