Final Form
A bullet hell where you are the boss: hold glowing organs to pour patterns at a gold hero ship, and cage it before it shoots your heart out.
What it is
you are the boss
A bullet hell with the camera on the other side. You are a vast living creature along the bottom of the screen, and each of its glowing organs pours one pattern up into the field while you hold it: the Whorl spins magenta arms, the Gill fans cyan pellets at the ship, the Eye sweeps a white beam. A tiny gold hero dives in, dodges with a mind you can watch (it sees bullets late, believes they fly straight, panics in a crowd), and shoots one organ at a time. Take every star pip above it and its wreck sinks into your body; then graft one of three live cards: a new organ, a mutation, a trait stolen from the hero, or a socket regrown. Seven heroes, one run, no score. Clear it and Renown opens: five harder levels, one clear at a time, each giving every hero one more edge and keeping the ones before. DAILY is one seeded run a day, the same for everyone on the Taipei date.
How to play
Controls, then the numbers that matter
An organ heats while held: the Eye vents after 3.2 s, the Lash 3.8, the Gill 4.2, the Whorl 4.6, the Maw 4.8, the Seedpod 5.0. A vent is 1.6 s of silence, so swap before the ring turns red.
One organ alone leaves a gap the hero finds: over 200 whole runs, a bot holding only the Whorl never gets past hero 3, while one holding two organs and swapping them as they heat clears 73%.
Released organs wind down over 0.5 s, and bullets already in flight still cage, so tapping one organ after another builds a trap across time.
The hero predicts straight lines. Seedpod pods burst into 12-seed rings, Maw orbs turn after it, and Blink pellets jump 110 units at 0.45 s: that is how you catch the quick ones.
Each organ has 8 hp: it cracks at 5, bleeds light at 2 and breaks at 0. Two broken organs split the carapace and every hero shoots the heart (12 hp).
With the heart bare, press it once: every living organ fires for 4 s at 1.5× with no heat, then all of them vent for 3 s. A kill inside it, or within 1 s after, counts as a desperation kill.
Between heroes the heart heals 2 and every living organ 3. A broken socket stays broken until a REGROW card brings it back at 8 hp.
After a lost pip a hero is untouchable for 1.2 s (the Champion 1.0 s; 40% longer from Renown III), so one dense cage costs it one pip, not three. The Bulwark's bubble soaks 30 bullets first, and a Maw orb counts twice.
Clear all seven and Renown I opens on the title: faster needles. Each clear at the highest open level opens the next: II calmer in a crowd, III untouchable longer after a hit, IV fires a little more often, V a 12-hit bubble on every ship that has none. Each level keeps the rules before it and its own best time.
DAILY is the same run for every player each Taipei day (UTC+8): the same hero order and quirks, the same first graft offers and the same offers for the same picks, and its Recruit always has three pips. The days you hunt it are kept, and missing one takes nothing away.
GRAFTS on the title, there once you have taken a first graft, keeps every one of the 18 you have grown, each playing its pattern: 3 organs, 12 mutations and 3 stolen traits. A blank tile is one you have never taken.
