ONE HOLEMining
Digsite
Every signed-in player digs the same hole at the same time, and it only gets deeper until the first of the month re-rolls the ground.
What it is
one shared hole
One underground world, 512 tiles wide and as deep as everyone together can get it, that every signed-in player digs at the same time. There is no private copy: what you cut stays cut, and so does everything cut while you were away, and the lanterns moving in the dark are other diggers, right now. Swings come back over real time whether the tab is open or not. Breaking ore or a relic casing rolls for one of forty finds, and anything uncommon or better is announced to everyone digging and leaves a plaque with your name on the tile it came out of for the rest of the season. Each day from midnight Taipei time the survey names one strip of 64 columns, the same for everyone; bring one find up from inside it and the day counts. At midnight UTC on the first of every month the world is re-rolled from a new seed and the season's boards go into the Hall of Fame; your museum and your lifetime tiles carry on, and the museum keeps a line for every month you dig from this one on.
How to play
Controls, then the numbers that matter
A tile breaks only when one of its four sides already touches air, so every tunnel starts at the surface. Dirt takes 1 swing, stone 3, hardstone 6; copper 4, iron 6, gold 8, voidglass 12 and a relic casing 10. Hatched bedrock ribs never break: there are none in the first 200 rows, they thicken with every band below, and they never seal the shaft, so go around.
Your tank holds 100 swings and one normally comes back every 20 seconds, open tab or not, but a full tank stops refilling. Lifetime tiles add 5 to the tank at 1,000, 10,000, 50,000, 200,000 and 1,000,000, up to 125, and each of those milestones changes the colour of the lantern everyone else sees.
Play tokens buy swing packs on the Credits page, or from Buy swings beside the meter. Bought swings sit in a reserve behind the tank, are spent only once your own swings run out (a note's 5 included), never refill, and are gone when the season resets on the 1st. The price and today's limit are on the Credits page.
Rock takes the colour of its depth and goes cold and dark; ore keeps its own at every depth. Copper runs from the surface, iron from depth 200, gold from 600 and voidglass only below 1,500, and copper never gives better than rare, so anything still coloured deep down is worth the swings.
A relic casing has an acid-green keyline and always holds a rare find or better. The rock's own start at depth 600, with a 15 percent chance of mythic below 1,500; a side-shaft opens a handful of them at about the depth of the deepest cut anyone has made, for thirty minutes, every six to ten hours.
The first digger each season to reach a depth band, break each ore or find each of the forty items gets a First to it tag in their museum. The first break into a new band also starts a surge for everyone: for 24 hours swings come back a fifth sooner.
Press N over a dug-out tile to pin a note of up to 64 characters for 5 swings, one per digger in each 64-tile chunk; it stays until the season resets. Point at a note to read it, press R to report it, and three reports hide it.
Two tabs on one account can dig at once; a third stops the oldest, which offers Dig here to take it back. The last minute of a season, before midnight UTC on the 1st, is read-only, for a last look at the month's hole.
When your swings run out the card adds up the visit and names what is next: your place on this season's tiles board and the gap to the place above, the lifetime tiles to your next lantern, and how many of the forty your museum holds.
The survey moves at midnight Taipei time (16:00 UTC), and the eight 64-column strips are shuffled eight days at a time, so no strip is ever more than fifteen days away. No strip starts a month bare above depth 400. A missed day takes nothing away: the museum counts the days you surveyed, your longest run and your best day.
From this month on, your museum keeps a line for every season you dig in — tiles, deepest row, find score and your place — and marks your best one.

What changed
Digsite: a season is a month
- Digsite’s world now re-rolls once a month instead of every Sunday: a new season starts at midnight UTC on the 1st, so a hole has a whole month to get deep. Boards, plaques, notes and bought swings last the season, and your museum and lifetime tiles carry on as before.
Digsite: a trophy for the full museum, and the fixes it was missing
- A finished museum is now a trophy: own all forty finds and it goes in your case. “Down here now” counts the people actually digging, not everyone who dug this season. The record sheets (Boards, Museum, Hall, Log) work from the keyboard again. Your find-score record is the rarity-weighted score the Boards panel shows, not a count of finds, and a short visit 19s tiles count on your record too. The HUD no longer redraws itself sixty times a second when nothing on it changed.
Digsite’s swing count, the same in every tab
- Digsite: buying swings while another tab is open no longer makes both tabs show the old count for a few seconds.
Version 2: the whole arcade, rebuilt
- Digsite digs: one underground world, 512 tiles wide, that every signed-in player digs at the same time. What you cut stays cut, the lanterns in the dark are other diggers, and a find uncommon or better leaves a plaque with your name on it for the rest of the week.
- In Digsite you get 100 swings and one comes back every 20 seconds, open tab or not, and every Sunday at midnight UTC the world is re-rolled. Play tokens buy more swings, in packs, on the Credits page or from Buy swings in the game.
